Welcome to Civilization Diaries!
Step into the lives of people who shaped cultures- be it food, drinks, festivals, arts and craft. From brewers in ancient Sumer, to Roman bakers, all have stories to tell which helped these civilizations thrive during their zenith. Here, history is not written by kings or generals, but by the people who lived it- one meal, one festival, one day at a time.
We travel through the eras of the past to explore the day in the lives of the people in different civilizations, how they shaped the cultures during their time and how it has impacted us in the present.

Meet the Creator
Hi! My name is Mihir, the creator of this wonderful initiative. This idea was born due to a love for history- not of kings and wars, but by cooks, artisans and dreamers who shaped their world and ours as well.
I was interested in history from a very young age. The idea of how cities were built, how society was formed, which civilizations existed before us was something that interested me a lot.
That is why I decided to create Civilization Diaries where I could explore and walk through different eras in the past- how people spent their daily lives, how did they interact with other people, what food did they cook and eat, what clothes did they wear.
This is a fascinating subject to explore of which I am excited to walk into.
